Event - A Valentine's Day party for students at "Sõbra Maja". And then an unexpected Valentine's Day party at the popular ClubTallinn, which pretty much stole the show (except that I wasn't there to see it until it was drawing to a close). I knew about the students party in advance and wanted to be there to try out my equipment in a much less night-clubbish environment, plus some of the organizers are good friends of mine. Unfortunately the unexpected party at ClubTallinn with its better location, cheaper prices and overall popularity as a nightclub pulled the rug from underneath this party. The people who were at the student party were certainly having fun, its just that there weren't that many people there. So when I finally decided to hit ClubTallinn, I was saddened to meet some of my favourite people already on their way out since the party was almost over. Then again, that was mainly a word-of-mouth party anyway so I should be happy to have attended at all. And come to think of it, I think I am:)

Photography - I have come to strongly dislike the limitations of my non-sideways-turning Canon 380EX flash. I am forced and constrainted to landscape mode for bounced flash, which is the absolutely wrong mode for people pictures. I need a sideways-turning flash and FAST. I'm looking at the Sigma 500 DG Super, which has all kinds of bells and whistles. Unfortunately it only covers the center focusing point of my camera, whereas the comparatively priced Canon 420EX would cover all seven of them, yet lacks almost all other functions.
