Event - A Friday night with "Sounds of Hip Hop" at the "Tallinn" nightclub. A guest performance by this year's Estonian breakdance champions.
Photography - I completely blew the breakdance photo shoot. I was expecting the flash the freeze the action in the foreground and the high ISO and slowish shutter (1/40-1/120 in f/3.5 aperture priority mode) to provide some ambience in the background. But when I took a look at the pictures, it turned out to have been too bright for the flash alone to freeze the action and thus the slowish shutter messed up almost all of the action shots. A shutter of 1/200 and above would have been MUCH better. Luckily my equipment is potentially capable of such high speed flash photography - it syncs up to 1/200s in normal and up to 1/4000s in high speed flash sync mode, so I better not forget taht the next time around.
Also I need to remind myself to take more pictures of guys. My photography is heavily biased towards wiggling babes as it is, but nowhere has it been more evident than in this latest gallery. I don't know what I was thinking. Most probably I wasn't thinking at all. Or at least I wasn't thinking with my head:)
