Nerds vs Gangstas, Apr 2005Rappers vs debaters, a public debate (Student Days Spring 2005)

Event - Student Days Spring 2005 have begun in Tartu and this was the first event I attended. Full house and excellent entertainment. Top rappers (dubbed "Gangstas") vs top debaters (dubbed "Nerds") of Estonia debated on whether Estonia sucks or not. In the end the audience voted for the rappers to win and quite deservedly so, if for nothing else then for the courage to leave their familiar home turf of rapping and being able to hold their own against top debaters in the classic form of debating. The pictures speak volume though about what the debaters themselves thought who was actually winning and who was losing the debate:)
Photography - No post-processing at all this time. No noise removal, no unsharp mask. No contrast, levels or saturation adjustment. why? No time:) The pics are straight out of the camera (plus obviously resized for the web). Yeah they look noisy and soft, but that'll have to do this time.
