"Battle of Est" Break-Dance Competition, Oct 2006Event - "Battle of Est 2006" break-dance competition. Didn't wanna go at first, but got talked into it (again).
Photography - I've hit absolute rock-bottom with a terrible success ratio of 1 in 62 shots with this gallery. The ones that I did select are not that great either. I stuck with the 30mm F1.4 Sigma at ISO 1600 in T (shutter) mode at 1/500 and let the camera select the appropriate aperture. Most of the action was too far for 30mm but I didn't switch to my 50mm F1.8 Canon prime. In retrospect this may have been in mistake, since most of the few properly framed shots that I got also got selected, but the rest would have needed cropping to see if they'd be any good at all. And I'm not much of a cropping guy - if I don't get it framed properly while I take the shot, it will most likely end up in the trash, unless the shot screams of excellence and only begs for a bit of cropping. But that almost never happens.
