Event - Official Eurovision 2007 opening party at Finlandia House in Helsinki. All the delegations and all the contestants were there to meet each other, give interviews, pose for the cameras, sign autographs for the select few accredited fans and show off their best costumes (especially if they happened to be men dressed as women). Photography - Well thank heavens for the CP3 battery pack. Since I had decided to bounce the flash as much as I could from the ceiling, I couldn't have done without it. Other than that, I was mostly alternating between my 18-55mm kit lens and the 12-24mm Tokina. And the latter really came in handy - at times the place was so crowded, there was no way you could frame a shot at 18mm on a 1.6x form factor camera.
